Over the ten months of this year, the import of electric vehicles to Uzbekistan increased to 22.49 thousand units, which is more than six times higher compared to the same period last year, the press service of the Customs Committee of the republic reported recently.
According to the data, in January-October of this year, Uzbekistan imported 22.49 thousand electric vehicles worth $582.3 million. Imports of electric vehicles increased 6.1 times compared to the same period last year, which amounted to 3,679 units.
Among suppliers, mainland China reportedly ranks first, accounting for 91.7 percent. -- 20.64 thousand electric vehicles. Hong Kong is in second place with 1,258 cars. Uzbekistan also imported electric vehicles from the UAE, the Republic of Korea, the USA and Germany, respectively.
